For what platform and in what language?

...to moitor when the file does not exist on the server(system i)  that is doing the ftp.&lt;/i&gt;

Is the System i acting as the client or the server? Do you you want to know if the file doesn&#039;t exist before the FTP? Or if it doesn&#039;t get created by the FTP? Do you want to know if it doesn&#039;t exist on the client, i.e., it can&#039;t be FTPed because it doesn&#039;t exist?
