1. Turn the printer off and then back on.
2. If error returns, remove all print cartridges and turn the printer off.
3. Cold reset the printer.
a. Turn the printer on.
b. Watch the control panel.
c. When the memory starts counting, press and hold the green example (Select) button.
d. Continue holding the green check button until the Ready, Data, and Attention lights flash once, and then stay on steady.
e. Release the check button when the Ready, Data, and Attention light are on steady. The control panel will display SELECT LANGUAGE.
f. Press example (Down Arrow) button once. The control panel will display COLD RESET.
g. Press example (Select). The printer will perform a cold reset and then continue its power-on sequence.
4. Wait for the printer prompt to install each print cartridge.
5. If the error persists, contact HP Customer Care Support.
