member concept in as/400
i have a physical fiel called stufile and that file is having a member called january.my pf is having 6 fields.can i copy or retrive only two fields to the sub member january

Hi,
If you have a physical file, with multiple members, the members share the same definition of fields (the definition is stored at the file level). So you should always have 6 fields in all members in this file.
It should be possible to copy only 2 fields to your other member, this will leave the other fields as blanks or zeros depending on the type of field.
