meeting button

When i receive a meeting request that is send from webmail i get it as an attachment in my inbox and not as a button, I use Outlook 2003

when you say the meeting request was received from webmail, do you mean from a user in your organization who sent it from outlook web or do you mean from an external email account outside your organization? Are you an exchange organization, and if so, what version? If not what mail system are you using?
