MCA – Oracle or .Net career

I have done Higher Diploma in software engineering from NIIT New Delhi. Now I am persuing MCA second sem from MDU distance. I want to know that in which field I should go like there is lots of different way Like .net , oracle. I realy don't know that which field is baneficial my career. So, please suggest me that should I go for oracle or .net?

Oracle and .NET are two very different paths to take. Oracle is a database product while .NET is an application programming language. While they are complimentary to each other you should be familiar with both in addition to SQL Server, MySQL, etc.

    If you are referring to the Oracle database product, then as Mrdenny says, they (Oracle and .NET) are two different things, and if you are going to follow the software development path, you will probably need to work with databases from many different vendors (including Oracle). But Oracle offers some software development options as well, which would be the equivalent to .NET, such as Oracle Developer suite, ADF and APEX. Which one will be more beneficial to your career is something difficult to answer. You are probably going to find more companies using some version of .NET for their development, but at least in my country, Oracle developers are usually better paid than their .NET counterparts.
