Mass disable of users via Active Directory by organizational unit

Can me mass disable users via active directory by organizational unit? If an entire group left the company at one time we need to disable the whole group's access. Active directory running 2003 and 2008.

Whilst it is not really the main purpose of my AD Tidy program, you could certainly use it to do this easily (the program is completely free). Just set the search settings to limit the search to only the OU you are interested in, then once you have run the search you can click the Select All button and then select the Disable action. Job done :)

    IIRC, there is an option in a GPO to disallow a user from logging on locally...it's not the same as disabling the user account...but...it might just keep them off of the system and give you time to go through and disable them correctly. Otherwise, you may want to look in to PowerShell. It may allow you to script the disabling based on the OU.
