Marketing Acronyms

I'm new to marketing and I'm seeing a lot of acronyms that I don't know what they stand for in marketing, but know non-marketing terms with the same letters. Below are a few of the ones I see a lot:
  • CPM
  • CPC
  • CTR
  • CPA
  • PPC
  • CRM
  • SEO/SEM (is this the same thing?)
Can you help clarify what the acronym stands for and what it means?

CRM – Customer Relationship Management

All the methodologies that help businesses deal with customers, often discussed in SEM to discuss how to integrate lead data into a company’s CRM software system, and measure leads all the way to close.  Integration of leads from SEM efforts into a company’s CRM system can sometimes be a challenge.

SEM – Search Engine Marketing

The superset of all marketing using search engines.  Often, people use SEM to mean PAID search marketing only, but the more correct description is that SEM is an umbrella for PAID, ORGANIC (SEO), and other search engine efforts.
