Is there any way for Oracle6i reports printing to base the margin on the top-left most corner of the physical paper and not on the starting top-left part of the printable area of the paper which is dependent on the printer's settings? My report has a top margin of 1 inch and left margin of .75 inches. but since the printer i use has a minimum margin of left .25 and top .2, the printed report will have a resulting margin of left 1inch and top 1.2 inches. if you use a different printer, the margins will again have a new value. I have read that you can base the start measurement of margins on oracle 10g by adding REPORTS_ADD_HWMARGIN on the registry editor. i tried it in oracle 6i, and some fields of my report got messed up. is there a way for 6i to have a stable margin? thanks.
