How do you get all the kinks out of your os and make it completely yours. Where you know what comes in and goes out. Where it works the same,because there are not hidden applications making changes behind the scenes. Where you use your resources efficiently (like we should in the Consumer world.. NOT) I want my computer to be mine. Any tips. From the network to the platform

By enabling firewall, using a good antivirus, antispam, antimalware product on your PC and keeping it on all the time, you can achieve this.

Run a virtual machine using snapshots. You can always revert back to a previous known condition. Use the applications Jadeep recommends.

This is actually a hacking or cracking attempt. Unfortunately, it is not really good to do any cracking or hacking attempt just to possess your Windows or any other software. It is still better to purchase a licensed software for you to use all its great features.

    Yep, that is a better idea by Labunke to have a backup of what you are going to experiment so that in case of any insurgency you can always roll back.
