How can I make a desktop wireless without a pci card? I have no available slots but I do have usb ports available and a Ethernet port. Is there some type of converter for this scenario? I can sacrifice the Ethernet (100/1000) for wireless.

Here’s some options from CDW for USB wireless adapters. Check out these search results. Unfortunately the first item is a wireless USB mouse but the majority of the search results are USB wireless adapters like you are looking for.

You can also get an ethernet to wireless adaptor. Belkin make one, the model number is F5D7330uk and I am sure all the other major players do as well, Linksys, D-Link etc.... To be honest, unless this is your only option i.e no USB, then I would agree with Jinteik and stick with a USB adaptor, they are cheaper as well.
