Personally, I think I would opt for the SAP choice. -Schmidtw i also in search for the course n not getting where to switch.....SAP abap or IBM mainframe ----- It's hard to go past SAP. Lots of work out there, and it's a growing customer base. IBM Mainframe work is also out there, but in my opinion not as much. Although there is a bit of a Mainframe skills shortage, there's also a shortage of new Mainframe sites. What's more, most Mainframe jobs are for people with a few years experience - it usually takes this to be any good. Of course SAP can run on the Mainframe - perhaps you could choose both?
