Where can I find a list of common Mainframe applications used in the insurance industry that are good candidates for migration to open systems? Are there special considerations for the insurance industry, say compared to finance or manufacturing, when it comes to "modernizing" legacy applications?

If I were looking for applications used by the insurance industry I think I would contact insurance companies like AIG, GEICO (lets go off to Mamby-Pamby Land), or Country Companies.

Maybe you might wish to limit yourself to care, or life, or house, or medical insurance.
