I am not sure what you mean by “queue size”. Some (most?) disk systems on a mainframe (system z) have disk controllers that contain cache memory. Is this cache what you are calling a queue? Each brand of DASD would have its own different configuration. I suggest you try IBM or STK or another manufacturer of DASD for the specific specifications.
