I have two issues that may be related, but I'm not sure. I have a user that cannot use the Colors tab under Tools, Preferences. She can get to that tab, but when she sets up the colors and tries to save, she gets the message, "you are not authorized to perform that operation". She is listed as the owner of the mailbox/calendar. What is causing this and how can I fix it?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Can we assume that the user can change other preferences, just not colors?

As the owner then she is listed as such on the Mail/Basics tab? What is her access in the ACL?

Have you tried replacing the design of the mail file?

Can other ‘normal’ users change the colors OK?

The "This mailfile belongs to:" field in your mailfile preferences is not set to the same user as the ID/person document.

The user is listed as the owner on the Basics tab. She has Editor access in the ACL. I don't believe she is having trouble with anything else.

Cheryl, Sounds like some of the internet e-mail controls are not set correctly. Follow this guide to check access. If that does not do it then it is possibly what happened to me which was I had accidently deleted some of the Update files. So... if all else fails in access then pull up the latest version of your Update file sends and reinstall. Let me know if any of this helps you out. If it does not then I will send the updates to you that carry this type of control. Have you uninstalled any of your fonts lately? Thanks, Kat How Do I Install Internet Access Controls?
