Mailbox sizes will not update in system manager
We are running exchange server 2003 and the mailboxes are getting out of control. We have some users that have 2GB mailboxes! We have spoken to these users and they have been deleting their mail everyday. The problem I am having is that even though these users have drastically lowered their mailbox sizes, system manager is still showing that they still have huge mailboxes. It is not updating the sizes. Can someone please let me know if there is some utility that I have to run to get the sys manager to update? Thank you.

Answer Wiki:
In outlook you can view more folders or "folder list" by right clicking on their mailbox and going folder size it shows where most of the size of documents is located in a folder this could be in a sync issues log folder. or could be non sent email that has humongous attachments Maybe they dont delete their old calendar events from years and years? Try this out

Thank you so much for your suggestion. But we had the server set to delete deleted messages after 30 days. We changed that to one to get rid of them and then back to 7. Thanks

I am also having the same issue, did you have any luck resloving it? The strange thing is in Outlook the folder sizes are not updating either. Once email is deleted and you go back to folder size the total amount is not updating when you view the folder list, the listing shows the new sizes.
