Exchange 2003 mailbox move

Exchange 2003, Mailbox management, Mailbox migration, Exchange database, Mailbox store, Exchange mailbox store, Exchange 2003 mailbox store, Exchange 2003 database, Exchange 2003 mailbox migration

I created (On a separate drive on the same server) a New Group, Store, and moved a couple mailboxes. I did this because my primary drive only has 2.75Gb left. I moved 3 boxes totalling 8Gb. On the new drive, it showed that I now occupy 8Gb of that drive with Exchange data. However, on the old drive, after moving the mailboxes it didn't increase my size by 8Gb?? The boxes are showing in the new store and likewise the data appears on the new drive...

Any help would be GREATLY appeciated before my server crashes.

You said, "on the old drive, after moving the mailboxes it didn't increase my size by 8Gb?? ". I think you must mean it did not DECREASE the mail store on the old drive. That is because when you move mailboxes it leaves behind white space. You will need to do an eseutil offline defrag on the stores you moved the mailboxes out of to reclaim that space. Keep in mind the space requirements to do the offline defrag. You do not have enough space on the old drive, however you can use the new drive for the defrag temp file.
