In Outlook Express, do the number of folders and saved emails impact the mailbox being full and cause an incoming message to bounce back to the sender, or is that only the amount of mail in the inbox? Thanks

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

The dbx file is not the same thing as the mail box.

The mail box could get full even if the dbx file of Outlook Express is empty, if mails are not downloaded from the mail server.

So, what is important is the amount of e-mails reamining on the server.

However, if the dbx file reaches its maximum size, outlook express will probably stop downloading e-mails from the server, and the mail box will eventually get full.

FYI - in case you did not know the "dbx file" referred to by Carlos is the Outlook Express file found on your local computer. When you set up Outlook Express you can set it to leave a copy on the server in which case you need to log into your webmail from your ISP and reduce mail there as the copy sent to your outlook express is not the actual mail account on the server itself.
