		<description><![CDATA[If the exchange server can in fact receive traffic to and from the internet.  You should try to open a smtp connection to an external server (rules out firewall issue). Open a &quot;cmd&quot; window and enter in this command &quot;telnet mx1.mail.yahoo.com 25&quot;(type in quit to exit connection). Then you should make sure SMTP on exchange is running.  This is found in the System Manager --&gt; Administrative Groups --&gt; you domain --&gt; Servers --&gt; your exchange server --&gt; protocols --&gt; SMTP.  If there is a &quot;Red Dot&quot; on the Virtual SMTP server, right click and select start.  If it does not start then there is a configuration issue.
