Lyris ListManger Error # 400-409

Lyris ListManger

Completed: The destination mail server reported a temporary failure error code (between 400 - 499).

Tue, 08 Apr 2008 03:59:52 Sending email to: useremail@domain.com
<-- DNS info available for: domain.com
--> Attempting to connect to: domain.com (X.X.X.X 25)
<-- Connection refused by: domain.com (X.X.X.X 25)
--> No more mail servers left to try.

Again I'll probably contact support on this one, but wanted to see if anyone here had an answer

Sounds like the remote mail server is either down, or has been configured to now allow connections from your Lyris server.

Have you verified that you can connect to port 25 on the remote mail server?

---------------------------------------------------------------

Turns out because of the way cisco products work, it wouldn't work with the external MX record of the email server. We had to add our internal MX record and it started working. (Stupid but worked).

Thanks

The mail server sends out to other servers, just not internally. And yes we have added the server to exchange to allow anything from it to come in. I haven’t talked with Lyris support but we are going to be doing that tomorrow, thanks for your reply.
