LSMW Question – # EOF character due to Codepage ?(for a Legacy data Source File)
Hi, I've created a simple LSMW (using a recording) to create invoices using VF01. The source file is a tab delimited text file (created via Save As from Excel). When sourcing the file from the frontend PC, everything works fine. However, if I pick up the source file from a Samba Share-Unix directory, I get an extra # character at the end of the read record ! Anyone know how I can prevent this from happening. Is it something to do with which Codepage I use ? Currently, it defaults to 1100 when using a Legacy file (whereas for PC files it's ASCII). Appreciate any help. Thanks, J

Answer Wiki:
How are you transferring the file to the UNIX directory? When transfering tab delimited files, I usually use a binary transfer instead of ASCII. You should try it both ways and see which works. Also, LSMW has a few file settings you should check in the assign files step.
