 LPR Printer IP settings lost
i have a number of printers that do not work through standard TCPip port on my Windows 2003 server, but some dont, if i connect them through LPR port they work but problem i am having is that each time my server is restarted or the network goes down i loose the LPR IP settings and i have to redo it again. what would you think is the problem or is 2003 server edition not supported

Answer Wiki:
set reservations on your dhcp pool and assign those static ip addresses to the printers. if your server or network goes down. They will have the same ip address when they come back online.
