 Lotusscript recompile required
action buttons associated with a subform that contains lotusscript and refers to a shared script library but that link becomes broken

This can be resolved by forcing a recompile within the database using domino designer tools.

This seems to be becoming more and more often across the board on different domino versions from 6 upwards.

Is this a known problem that IBM are doing something about as it seems to be more prevalent and customers think it is the application to blame?

Hmechan,

I agree!!! This is getting rediculous!

I work on two computers at work … one has Notes v7.0.4 installed … the other has Notes v7.0.5 installed.

I’ve had bad things happen when I simply made a change to a form/action (which had calls to a script library) using my v7.0.4 Domino Designer client. I had to do a “recompile all LotusScript code” to resolve the problems simply because the shared script library was last compiled by my v7.0.5 Domino Designer client. I can understand problems being caused between major release version compilations … but 7.0.4 vs 7.0.5 ?!? That’s getting waaaaaay to sensitive IMHO!

We are not finding this issue with code developed in 8.5.1 and used by 6.5.x clients. Maybe it is a Notes 7 issue?

Brooklynegg,

The problem isn’t about which version of the Domino Developer client is used to build the application and which version of the Lotus Notes client is used to run/use that application; rather, the problem is when multiple versions of the Domino Developer client are used to build the application.
