I have created a tool using Lotus Notes. I am having some problem with my application.First I will explain the what I am doing in this application. 1. Programatically I am creating a copy of the database as .ntf file on our local drive, like c:Temp. using the CreateCopy Method. 2. This copy is then used as a master template to update the target database from that temporary copy. 3. After that the temporary copy is deleted. 4. First, the trouble is that this database cannot be deleted. I believe perhaps this has something to do with rights in the folder, but I don’t know. That is unclear to me. 5. If you run the same thing again, copying the source to a temporary file goes wrong, since there the old database is still in that folder. So that explains why it is unable to copy it then . 6. Logically its giving the Error=Path/file access error (75), but actually when its creating the template under the Temp folder that time the Template is being used by the Notes Client. 7. Due to this reason it is not possible to delete the file from there. because its being used still. 8. So I tried to delete it manually and I got the below mentioned error, but there are no body is using this file. 9. Cannot delete fac02: It is being used by another person or program.Close any programs that might be using the file and try again. 10. And it requires closing the whole notes file. So I think programmatically same thing is happening. Please suggest me how can I resolve this issue without closing the Notes session. It needs to remove the temprory ntf file from the local drive. I am waiting for someone who can help me to sort out.

So, if I understand correctly, you're using Notes to create a local database and you can't delete it. The Notes client says you don't have the proper rights, and the OS says the file is in use. When you close the Notes client, are you able to delete the file using the OS? What access level do you have in the db's ACL? Is the box for enforcing a consistent ACL checked?
