Lotus Sametime Client version 7.5.0

Hi, I am new in the Lotus Sametime. I am facing the problem in that.I have 7.5.1 client version of sametime. on every machine in the startup its taking to much time. can anybody tell me why its takes time. Somebody told me that there is one more version of Lotus Sametime is 7.5.0 and I check on internet but i didnt get this version. can anybody help to you download the sametime client version 7.5.0.

What do you mean by "too much time" ? Is it a question of seconds or minutes ?
ST 7.5.x takes up to 30 s to start from my experience. The average being around 10 to20 s depending on the computer performance. I assume this is related to the usage of Java.
This is true in 7.5.0 and 7.5.1.

There is two fix for ST 7.5.1 : CF1 (Jan 2008) and CF2 (June 2008), I am not sure if they help start-up performance though.

I am unsure you can d/l them without a passport advantage account.

ST Client 7.5 can be dowloaded from passport advantage site, part number CR48BNA

I also add a problem with computer being cold started : the anti-virus was slowing down a lot the startup time of ST Connect (up to 2 minutes). Maybe that's your problem.

Last but not least, startup performance is far better with ST Connect 8.

Are you using the intergrated Sametime Client or the Sametime Client……

If you are using the sametime client then check that there is enough Memory in the pcs and check what else is runnign at the time. The Sametime client is more resource hungry than the intergrated client.

ok, thanks for that, i am using in corp. office where instant meeting, schedule meeting all things working,.. my another was from where i can get another version. 7.5.0
