 Lotus Quickr IP address conflict
by having Lotus quickr our domain name has changed on our server to include the qp as part of the address. This qp.domain.com now open quickr so we have a conflict of using Blackberry Pop3 mail to see the server correctly, any comments?

Software/Hardware used:
Windows Servr 2003, Lotus Domino Srvr

Answer Wiki:
The mail server address is qp.domain.com So when this domain address is contacted quickr opens, not the email server. We have 2 Blackberry Curve phones that are trying to get Pop3 email from the Sprint.blackberry.com site which contacts our Lotus Domino Server. I wonder if we should just use the IP address of the server and then maybe Blackberry will logon. But as of now w are not getting email on one of the two phones. One phone does get some email, the other does not.

Can you better explain the problem please? The issue you are having isn’t clear to me. Exact error messages you have received as well as any troubleshooting steps you have tried would be helpful.

So basically you have two servers trying to respond to the same FQDN? Is this correct?

If this is the case then you will need to change one of these. Please be aware of things such as TLS (SSL) if you think changing the Mails servers would be easier

no we hae 1 server, Windows 2003, running Lotus Notes Domino server. Blackberry is saing because our inbox had more ten 900 emails they do not support POP3. Also I think the issue is the IP address with the quickr setup. Will know moe later today.
