I am trying to create a linked server on SQL Server 2005 to Lotus Notes 6.03. However, I keep getting an error. A system dsn was created with the Lotus NotesSQL driver (8.0). In creating the linked server on SQL Server 2005, Linked Server Name: Same name as System DSN Provider: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBS Drivers Product Name: Same name as System DSN Data Source: Same name as System DSN Security - 'Be made using this security context' - Remote Login: fully qualified login name Password: lotus notes password Server Options - Data Access: True Rpc: True Rpc Out: True Use Remote Colation: True After all of this setup, my connection fails. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to correctly set up a linked server to lotus notes? Error message is below. TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio ------------------------------ "The linked server has been updated but failed a connection test. Do you want to edit the linked server properties?" ------------------------------ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: An exception occurred while executing a Transact-SQL statement or batch. (Microsoft.SqlServer.ConnectionInfo) ------------------------------ Cannot initialize the data source object of OLE DB provider "MSDASQL" for linked server "LAWS2". OLE DB provider "MSDASQL" for linked server "LAWS2" returned message "[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_DBC failed". (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 7303)
