Lotus notes: Mail-in Database – Calender reminder notification issue
Question:
We have a mail-in database which is shared by a group. I am trying to
create a calerdar entry with notification (eg events, reminder etc).. I
want the notification to be sent to few email addresses... I tried the
option in 'Alarm settings' but I have not received any mails.. Not sure
whether there is a setting that should be activated.. (my calender
preferences indicate that the alarm is enabled).. Any help is
appreciated...
I have access to mail-in database and my personal mail in Notes.. Alarm
setting and notification works with my personal id but not from the
mail-in database

Alarms are, I believe, user specific, and there is no user in a mail-in database. A meeting is the only way to send your calendar entry to other people, unless you simply forward the document, saying "Mark this on your calendar!"
You can create a meeting with an alarm setting, and all invitees that accept that meeting ALSO get the alarm unless they turn it off. If you don't set the alarm, they have to set it individually.
Obviously, you can use a "Meeting" for a lot of things that aren't really meetings, but this is the only way I can think of that you can "force notification" to other users. And even then, they still have to accept the invitation.

I have simialr situation but on my lotus notes mailbox, i am trying to send reminders notification email to some receipiant one of them is me, but rather me nor the recepiants receive the reminder notification email. Although this function was working probably befor a month !
