 Lotus Notes disappearing
Hi, i have a problem with lotus notes clients, after providing my user credentials lotus notes is completely disappearing from the screen, i tried closing from the task manager processes, again it open and after the password is entered it goes blank, i also tried un-installing antivirus software, i also uninstalled and re-installed lotus application but to no avail. During uninstalling it is giving a error saying ïts not completely uninstalled & some entries are leftover in the registry" then i uninstalled using a third-party uninstaller & then re-installed lotus, again the same thing is happening, this is happening for few users, could someone help me please..... thanks in advance (we are using IBM lotus notes 8.0.2 version)

Answer Wiki:
Delete cache.ndk; rename desktop6.ndk and desktop8.ndk to desktop6.old and desktop8.old respectively; rename names.nsf to names.old; rename bookmark.nsf to bookmark.old; delete everything in the notes.ini except the first 3 lines and save it.  Start the client and go through the configuration process.  If the problem is solved, then the problem is with one of the files you renamed (corruption).  You can then use the client to open them, run fixup/compact, and rename them back to the original name.
