I am trying to transfer a users Lotus Notes account to a new laptop and am using the users copied ID file after specifying our Domino server and the users name in the initial setup screen. Lotus then appears to contact the server but returns the error "Server error: entry not found in index". This is specific to the users ID file as my own seems to work fine on the new laptop on the users account. I cannot find anything specific to this issue and any help would be much appreciated

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

is it still working on his old laptop?

not sure if I can help as it’s been a long time but since no one has answered yet, I’ll try to give you some ideas that could cause it

it might have to do whith the user no longer existing on the server?
try cheking the address book (on the server not local) see if he still exists.
if he is still there check the properties he maybe located on a different server ie xxxx01 instead of xxxx02

another possibility is his idfile was recreated/renamed you might need to get a new copy from the server.

you can also try useing a fresh new copy of the notes.ini file as your information and his may not necessarily be the same

hope this helps

Dan
