Can you check that Wireless Calendar Sync is on and the Sync is set to MAILBOX wins.
This will mean that the Device will only change if you delete the item.

Lotus Notes Calendar Items Deleted on Blackberry
We have one user among approx. 20 Blackberry 8830 users who is having
an issue with his calendar items being automatically deleted, even
though his device is set to Keep Forever. We have wiped the device,
reloaded the OS, have gone through troubleshooting and replaced the
device with a new one. The old calendar items still disappeared. Has to
be a setting on Lotus Notes, possibly through our Enterprise Server. IT
department and Blackberry administrator have been unable to find an
answer. Only one user is affected. Any suggestions?
