here are several things which you probably already tried: compact -i -c this creates a new file and ignores errors open the file and press shift-f9 this rebuilds the index open the file and press cntl-shift-f9 this rebuilds all the views right-click on the file in the admin GUI and select full text index - then select delete. It will delete the full text index if there is one and it can be rebuild afterwards.

if the local mail file is on a Windows workstation, be sure to exit the Notes client go to a command prompt cd into the data dir where the mail file is located (c:lotusnotesdata etc...) try fixup -f to force it to fix up the whole file type c:lotusnotesncompact -i -c to compact it the c:lotusnotes path is where the executables are installed - may be in c:program fileslotusnotes etc...

Hi, Delete cache.ndk and then restart LN. If still error exist rename or delete bookmark.nsf. Let me know if this fix the issue. Have a Good one!

If someone else connects to the DB can they delete without the same issue? If this is the case then recreate the CACHE.ndk and BOOKMARKS.nsf. If not then a would say your best bet is COMPACT -c -i as stated before. Remember if you are low on diskspace this might not be possible. Plus if the users mail file is close to its quota and your forcefully do not allow this to happen then the INDEXing will cause the same issue. ie the extra index would take it passed its quota.
