I have Lotus notes 8. I would like to send the same e mail to say 10 users. I would when they receive it that it looks that is was to to just them (so they are the only address in the to:) BCC does not work as it does not show each adress in the TO: section. Group does not work as it is not a consistent group and then the TO: shows the group name. I want each one that receives the e mail to be in the TO: field and want them each to think they are the only one that go it.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Place your own e-mail in the To: line and the rest in the BCC. Then them you do this to:
1. Assure yourself that the e-mail was sent (you are sending yourself a copy)
2. To reduce incoming spam (by reducing the exposure of their e-mail address)
Hey they might buy it…
Good Luck!

You need to write an agent to do this. This can be accomplished. You can use a generic ID to sign the agent with whihc the emails will be sent and each email receieved will see on his name (the recipient’s name).

Please let me if this has answered your question.

Hope this helps.

Thanks
Raj

In lieu of using BCC, you can create an agent to send an individual copy of the email to each person. How you do it depends on your situation - where does the list come from, where does the body of the email come from, is it scheduled or on demand, etc. It might be simplest to create a separate db for this purpose, so that you don't have to muck with the mail template.
