Lotus Notes 6.5 – Schedule a Meeting / Email confirmation

We have the standard setup of Notes, clients are version 6.5.4 . When users schedule a meeting and book a room, they do not get a confirmation email back to say that the room is booked. Also, Conflict of bookings is not occurring if some one already has the room booked. This is obviously leading to different groups turning up at rooms both thinking that they have it booked. This used to work for us. Can anyone help, please?

You gave your client version as 6.5.4 but did not say what your server version was. The 6.5.5 server build has a regression bug with handling restricted rooms/resources that was corrected with a hot fix available from Lotus. I think that it is also fixed in the 6.5.5FP1 package as well. The problem is in SPR GLAS6M3NSM

Here are two Lotus technotes you may find helpful. Also, check that your resource.nsf database is running the correct template. "How To Help Resolve Free Time Inaccuracies" (#1141060) How To Re-create Busytime.nsf File (applies to Domino 4.5x/4.6x, 5.x and 6.x Servers) (#1086471) JimS
