We have the standard setup of Notes, clients are version 6.5.4 . When users schedule a meeting and book a room, they do not get a confirmation email back to say that the room is booked.
Also, Conflict of bookings is not occurring if some one already has the room booked. This is obviously leading to different groups turning up at rooms both thinking that they have it booked.
This used to work for us.
