Hello Ellz, yes this is a "change" in lotus notes 6.x mail template because when you forward a message or reply to a message then the message is "changed" (when you open this messages then you can see a green or blue arrow and a comment on the top of the mail that this message has been forwarded or that you created a reply to this message). The default settings for the mail database is that changed or modified entries were marked as unread. To change this setting you have to do a "right mouse-click" on the mail database link, then select "Database" and "Properties..." and in the apearing menu select the "design"-tab (which should be the 4th tab) and in the first section "Options" you find the entry "Do not mark modified documents as unread" which you have to uncheck.
