Using Lotus Notes 6.5. Having an issue with my Lotus Notes email. An email in a "read" status is changing to "unread" after I forward or reply to the email. It would make sense to me that the email stays "read" even if I forward or reply. Please help to change this. Thank you

Hello Ellz,

yes this is a “change” in lotus notes 6.x mail template because when you forward a message or reply to a message then the message is “changed” (when you open this messages then you can see a green or blue arrow and a comment on the top of the mail that this message has been forwarded or that you created a reply to this message).

The default settings for the mail database is that changed or modified entries were marked as unread.

To change this setting you have to do a “right mouse-click” on the mail database link, then select “Database” and “Properties…” and in the apearing menu select the “design”-tab (which should be the 4th tab) and in the first section “Options” you find the entry “Do not mark modified documents as unread” which you have to uncheck.

Good luck and best regards from germany,
Robert.
