Hi All ! Can I by means extract a string from a rich text field? To be more precise can I use the formula @Left for a rich text field? I read that this formula works on text fields. Is there any way to convert this rich text field into a text field? Thanks Ravi.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

You can change the rich text field to a text field, or you can create a new text field and “inherit” the rich text into that new field. I sometimes do this when I want a rich text field to display on the Web, but want to add the text to a view in the Notes client.
You can also use @Left in the text field and inherit into the rich text field. You would want to hide the field not displayed to the user.
