Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

The problem is not about the link — it’s about what it links to.

Mr. Guirard: That is a cryptic answer. I don't consider it helpful. Lgentile: Does this happen with every link she gets? If she sends you the link, or sends the link to someone else with a similar role (permissions, etc.), does it happen to that person? If you send her a link to a view in the Domino Directory, does she crash? Try shutting down Notes, deleting cache.ndk, renaming desktop6.ndk and bookmark.nsf, then staring Notes again. Her workspace setup will be new (it is contained in the desktop6.ndk and bookmark.nsf files, so you can restore it if this does not help.) Compact her new workspace and replicate so the client finds and adds any local replicas to her workspace again. Then have her try an offending link again. If this doesn't help, to resolve her Notes application abort more easily when this occurs (and assuming a Windows OS), ask her to do Start > Shut Down > Logoff instead of a reboot. This will stop all hung processes. When she logs on, Notes will work. If you can't resolve, call IBM notes support and give them her .nsd files and any other files in the data\IBM_TECHNICAL_SUPPORT folder that coincide with the date and time of the crash. Good luck!

I will try that. It happens anytime someone sends her (EXP:http://itknowledgeexchange.techtarget.com/itanswers/lotus-notes-3?asrc=EM_UGT_3377497) when she clicks to launch it closes Notes. I will try your suggestion. Thank you very much .

If that is the problem, then she must have Notes set as her internet browser, which might be fine. My solution is probably too heavy handed. Try this: On her Workspace, find the icon for Bookmarks (6). Click it, then hold down Ctrl-Alt-Shift while choosing View - Goto. hidden views will be displayed. Choose the (ByURL) view. Select all the records (this is her Notes browsing history, I think. hit the Delete key. Hit F to refresh the view. You may get an Object Variable Not Set error at this point. Just click OK. Shut down Notes. Delete cache.ndk, but leave the rest of the files alone (don't rename them). Start Notes, compact the workspace, then have her try the link again. If she still errors out, try changing her browser preference to Microsoft Internet Explorer and see if she still crashes.

Where I said previously wrote "Hit F to refresh the view, " I obviously meant F9.
