Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Follow the given steps to resolve the problem:

1) Rename the Desktop5.dsk and Cache.dsk file

2) Open the notes.ini file in your c:\lotus\notes folder. Find the line that starts with “Location =” and delete the rest of the line after the equals sign. Re start Lotus notes after saving the changes done.

3) Rename the address book (names.nsf) and create a new one

The location is c:\lotus\notes\data folder

If it doesn’t help you then, you require some Lotus Notes recovery software that can fix the Lotus database corruption issues.

Try to rename cache.ndk, desktop*.ndkIf location doc. is corrupt open notes.ini, look for: "Location =" and delete the rest after "=".Or rename the names.nsf and recreate it.

The first thing which comes to my mind is ..... Ask the user please to try accessing his lotus notes client on another PC then check if you get the same problem .. Secondly, did you un-install then re-install Lotus Notes on the user's PC ?   Thanks a lot ..

Hi Makes sure the OS file is not set to READ only - ie it has not been placed in the program files where the user does not have access... or it was installed into a profile the user does not have access to - ie c:\winodws\systems32\config\ ~ something like that. This is can happen with 8.5.x clients

First take backup of the lotus profile created in c drive and then delete the lotus profile and then again paste it to the same location.
