Q:
Lotus Missing Archive Folders
Using Lotus Notes 7.1 client. We set up an archive with all the default settings(except for save location and modified time) ran it and all the emails end up in the Archive icon.. I can see a + next to Archive, but nothing opens when it is clickes..Does not create the archive with the Test name nor does it create the folders.. just moves bulk email into that one location. Not sure what to do or to to try to repair? Thanks!

Software/Hardware used:
Lotus Client 7.0 Server 7.02 on AS400

The inbuilt Lotus Notes Archives creates a database based on the template of the MAIL file in the location of your choosing. default is Archive\a_dbname.nsf "in the users notes datadirectory". It will copy the mail / and folder structure of the mail file and then delete them (if you choose to) from the mail file.

You should check that the DB has been created, CTRL > O to open the DB. Browes to its location etc and see if it is there. If the archive DB is not there then it did not run. This is where you will need to go through your setting and check that all is OK.

You could check by running "Archive Selected Documents" and this will let you know if it is the criteria that is wrong or the DB etc.

Good luck.
