 Lotus Notes archive error
Lotus Notes, Lotus Notes archive, Lotus Notes error messages
hi, i have a user whereby her archive database is 6G which was accumated from year 2008 till now 2009. Now she will get an error messaging saying "The file is been used by another program" when she try to.opening this archive either from workspace or through c drive or through local database>tools>archive. i tried to close the whole notes application, kill notes process , but when launch the notes again still got the error message. I only manage to workover with this problem after a pc reboot. May i know what is the cause ?Is it the archive is too huge?What is the suggested amount of archive database sizes?

Your archive file is pretty big but it's not the problem ! I believe limitation is 64 Gb ! You should be able to open it. Have you check access rights on this file ? And even the "ReadOnly" flag ? Sometime it's set on when you have copy from a CD (mmm....most a DVD in your case !)
