When I begin to type an address in the To: field in lotus notes it prefills from the local address book and not the domino directory. I want it to default to the domino directory. Please help

Edit your location doc and on the <b>Mail tab</b> there is a field for <i>mail addressing</i>, click the drop down and change the field to <b>”Server then Local”</b>.

    There is also an issue with RECENT CONTACTS here will as this will also be taken into consideration. With 8.5.2 you have a greater control of RECENT CONTACTS check out the preferences to make sure that they are set to how you want to use it ..... or not.

    in lotus notes 8.5.1 there is no such field...there is a field named "Recipient name lookup"...i changed that to Exhaustively check all address books and it worked...thanks
