MS Word lost my document. I didn't save it...what do I do now?

Start over? More info would definitely help us help you. There might be a way to recover it from your system temp directory or by using a file recovery tool such as Davory.

If it wasn’t saved, it’s probably gone. It’s unlikely that the Word program “lost” the file, though it could be that a system failure interrupted the normal operation of the program. A temporary copy might exist. What OS are you running? Knowing the OS might indicate where a temporary copy might be found. — Tom
