 Lost Contacts in Outlook 2007
Microsoft Outlook 2007, Microsoft Outlook Calendar
Every time I rebuild my master category list, it vanishes when I shut-down and restart. My individual calendar and contact entries exist, but the master category list vanishes.

Software/Hardware used:
Inspiron 6000, Windows EP, Office Enterprise 2007

It happens most of the time when the profile is created and outlook is installed later. I would ask you to reinstall outlook once again. this will probably solve your problem

It might be still there in the Default location of your Email data pst.file. The file could be corrupted. However, may be worth trying to locate for the pst file for your email in C:Documents and SettingsworkshopLocal SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftOutlook (the location may very depending on your windows O.S)..Once located see if you have more than 1 0r 2 pst.file…if you have more than One then their are chances that all your email and contact can be recovered…..However might need some repair jobs done on those pst.file…Here are the tools to repair those pst.file located in C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice12…..Browse to your pst.file and repair it…Hope this solve your problem….Otherwise, re-install MS Outlook and import your pst file…
