 Image storage in Microsoft Excel

I'd like to know the code or procedure to use in Ms Excel that will help me to lookup a photo into a cell. I've observed some customised banking software which is able to display the picture and signature of a client whenever his unique account number is entered. Could I use excel to perform the same function? Thanks
