Loading Windows XP on Vista preloaded laptop

Can anyone help me in loading XP on a DELL Inspiron laptop preloaded with Windows Vista

First of all be sure that all the devices have a XP driver, especially the hard drive if this is a SATA one seen that this may not be recognized by XP setup, if so you need to create a floppy disk that will be inserted when you see the PRESS F6… prompt.
Once you have everything ready start you laptop and choose to boot from CD (it my be requested to press F2/F12 depending on the vendor); follow the procedure and be sure to remove existing partitions.

Also check with Dell to see if you can downgrade to windows XP. They should give you a working CD key for XP, and may even be able to get you an installation XP CD.
