Loading calculation for floor

I plan to install a machine with the weight 2.8 tons. The length is 3777mm x width 1080mm. Our floor load is 550kg/m2. There are 8 legs on the machines but I think it does not really matter. Could I place the machine in this floor, let's assume that the operational load is equal to static load.

    This doesn't seem to be a question that has much to do with this forum. But because it looks like you need a floor rated at more than 700kg/m2, it doesn't seem like a good idea at all. Perhaps a base could be laid down to spread the weight over a significantly larger area. (Assuming that the weight of the base is accounted for in further calculations.) -- Tom
