List WordPress categories in 2.6
I'm trying to get a list of categories associated to a specific post in WordPress 2.6. I've just upgraded to this version (from a very old version) and the get_the_categories() function is returning an empty array.
Looking at the database, there are categories assigned to the post in question, but it seems that something didn't copy over with the database conversion.
If I edit the post and assign a new category to it from the admin page, that new category is returned by get_the_categories()
Is there a different function I should be using, or did something go awry during my upgrade?
