I have found, in multiple locations, that there is a way to force 3d acceleration into a virtual machine allowing Gnome3 (and even Unity in certain scenarios) to run. I have not been able to make this work at all. I selected the "3D Acceleration" box in both programs but neither will recognize the change. Any ideas? I have to use Win 7 for work but I'm a linux guy so I use dual monitors and have one o/s on each.
Thanks!
Paul

Hello,
Two things I want to mention in case anyone reads this besides myself, lol. What Drew is referring to is called Wine. This is actually a Windows emulator. When used in a Linux system, a virtual file system is created allowing Windows products to work inside of a Unix/Linux environment. In my case, I have to use Windows 7 as my main operating system and choose to use Linux for my personal computing. In any event, that site was a big help, thank you very much!
