Linux Server Intalltion( How to convert linux machine to as router)

Hi, am siv Here i have two servers(Windows 2000 & Linux 9.0) and 50 node machines. and We have internet lease line with static ip address. Now i want to convert linux mahcine as router. In linux machine have two NIC's, one private ip and other public ip. node machine are able to suff the net. But i try to configure the outlook , its not working. i try to ping node machine to our pop3 ip, its also not pinging. but in the linux machine i can able to ping the our pop3 and all outside ip's also. how to give the natting . pls help me. Hi siv,

Following is the command to do Natting in Linux box

iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -s xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -j MASQUERADE
echo “1” > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward (enable ip forwarding)

You can create a script and put it /etc/rc.d directory so that this script will execute when computer starts.
