hi,i have a user who used wireless and lan cable in office . when she unpluged the lan cable , it will auto detect the wireless. But when she plug in the lan cable again the above error message appear for the lan connection. User has to disconnect the wireless manually everytime and click on repair on the lan connection in order for lan connection to work. Maybe i know of a permament fix for this problem?thanks!

Why disconnect the LAN connection when in the office? Leave the LAN connected.

It may have something to do with settings that are in conflict between the two network devices. Check and make sure that there is a different IP address for each device, also check and see if you is set for DHCP and the other has a fixed IP (This was a problen for me a few months ago) Other settings such as Gateway address might be to blame. It the WAP that the wireless card in the computer is hitting have a gateway in the same subnet as the wired lan? Is there a conflict there? She might have better luck if she disables the unused networkconnection BEFORE enabling the one she wants to connect with.
Good Luck!
