 Licensing for Lotus Notes
I am wondering - If the company I work for is running Lotus 8, are we automatically licensed for IBM Sametime Connect 8 (the stand-alone client, not the integrated with Notes one)?

Answer Wiki:
You better check with the local IBM office where you live . But most probably you are licensed for Lotus Notes sametime products and the other LN versions like LN8.5. --ADDITIONAL INFO-- While I agree you should clarify with IBM, it is my understanding that the entitlement (what you get for free) is Sametime Entry, and only chat from within a Lotus Notes client. The separate SameTime Connect client requires a license to be purchased. You should verify whether or not the paid for Connect client can be used with the Sametime Entry server under entitlement. I would imagine that is OK as you get no benefit other than Chat capability. Mike Kinder --END ADDITIONAL INFO--
